Many sports and extracurricular activities are coming to an end, and tryouts are coming up. Some teams, like the colorguard and dance team, host free clinics to teach girls who don’t have much experience, or any experience at all, how to dance or twirl a flag. The clinics are a great way to get a head start.

The Pantherette’s hosted a free clinic on Sunday, February 26 starting at 2:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. The colorguard is hosting a free clinic Wednesday, February 29th from to 5:30p.m. There is also another clinic on March 8th from 5:30p.m. to 7:30p.m.

For clinics regarding all teams, you should wear comfortable clothing. You don’t have to know anything when you walk into the clinic; you learn everything you need to know when you come in. This clinic is open to any girl in grades 8- 11 who are interested in trying-out or wanting to learn the basics of the team.

The try-outs for some of the extracurricular activities are on April 9-13 from 3:30p.m. to 5:30p.m. for cheerleading. There is also a mandatory parent and cheerleader meeting on March 27th at 6:00p.m. in the lunchroom. The dance team and majorettes try-outs are on March 5-9. The Colorguard will have their try-outs on April 2-6 starting at 3:30p.m.
