The Pelham Pantherettes dance team recently traveled to Disney World in Orlando, Florida for the UDA National Championship. The girls qualified to go to Nationals because they received superior ratings at camp over the summer.
“I was very excited about the girls going to Nationals!” said Mrs. Cochran, the Dance Team Sponsor when asked her feelings about the dance team being in nationals. The Pantherettes performed their Jazz and Kick routines to be judged. The kick routine’s theme was Batman.
“I knew it was going to be very competitive and I was excited about them seeing the other dancers from around the United States perform!” said Mrs. Cochran. The Pantherettes placed twenty-first out of three hundred other teams with their Jazz routine and ninth with their kick routine. Good Job ladies!
They are also participating in a charity event on February 11th at 7:00 called With Every Beat. It is designed to benefit Children’s Medical Network. The Pantherettes are performing Their Jazz, Kick, and Prop routines. Come out and support the Pelham Pantherettes!
