Money can’t bring happiness

Today’s society is too obsessed about making money. People are willing to do anything to make a quick buck, no matter who it effects. Business today is all about making as much money as possible and putting other people out of business.

John Kander once said, “Money makes the world go round.” Though in the Bible, in 1 Timothy 6:10, it is said, “The love of money is the root of all evil.”

Money cannot bring true happiness to a person. Throughout history we have seen that the latter is true. If you had all of the money in the world, one day you would realize that you have nothing of true value.

True happiness comes from those people that you love and care for. Society needs to realize human connections are more valuable than any currency.

During spring break, many people won’t go on vacations with their families or have a good time; they will be working the entire week, just trying to make more money.

The families of these people I’m sure will want to spend the time with them, but they won’t get to due to that a loved one is working during their chance to spend time with one another.

Instead of working all spring break, take some time off and have a family event. Go on a rare vacation that doesn’t come along very often. Enjoy what you have while you have it.
